90° TIPPER/UPENDER MODEL

Tip Coils onto a Pallet
from Core Horizontal to
Core Vertical
  • Systems built and designed to increase your coil handling operation.
  • Using an established set of design principles, we custom build tippers to handle most sizes and weights.
  • Helping you improve productivity and ergonomics in the workplace is our goal.
  • Whatever your special need, Cherry's is capable of designing and building a machine that will meet your requirements. Our many years of design experience and always working closely with the customer, have made us leaders in custom design. We can build a tipper to meet even the most demanding specifications.
  • Cherry's tippers are engineered and built to withstand long years of hard use. Always constructed of the highest quality materials, these machines are made to meet rigid quality control standards.
  • The Cherry's 90° hydraulic tipper is the most versatile unit to meet your material handling needs, and improve your productivity.

Coils of products such as foil, rolls of pressure sensitive paper on pallets are tipped 90° to ground level. Bands are cut, top cap removed and paper roll or coil is rolled out of tipper at ground level.

Control arm swings and pivots to multiple positions, thus allowing the operator to stand anywhere within a large area.

This unit tips from above ground to floor level (or vice versa). It is ideal for turning coils onto a pallet from core horizontal to core vertical or for tipping them on their side to be rolled away.

90° V-Bed with Clamping Plate 90° Low Profile Tipper

  • Loaded at a raised height, discharged at ground level.
  • Safety fence guards perimeter.
  • Light curtain protection across front and side of tipper.
  • Self contained power unit is mounted on base frame.

Load at floor level then rotate up to 180° This unit is used to lay down a 4000 lb processing vessel for cleaning. When each layer of boxes is complete the pusher will sweep them across and onto a lift table which will descend just below the level of the receiving table. When the desired number of layers have been pushed over, the machine will up end the stack 90°.

In-bound rolls of paper are tipped 90°, the rolls are then rolled out of unit and onto the in-ground conveyor transport system to the press area.

"V" bed plates permit the handling of a variety of coil sizes. 90° Coil Up-Ender with a hydraulic pusher that closes the gap between the coils prior to making them core-vertical. Adjustable "V" bed plates permit the handling of a variety of coil sizes.

Logs of printed material that are stacked and laying horizontal on a pallet are easily stood up with our 90° side by side tipper up-ender. Logs of printed material that are stacked and laying horizontal on a pallet are easily stood up with our 90° end to end tipper up-ender.

This custom designed tipper is used for tilting 8' rolls of paper. The paper is used for making baby diapers, so the roll will need to be tilted 90° from core vertical to core horizontal and rolled out of the tipper by its own energy force for placement into the coil un-winder. The use of a hydraulic tilting table below the roll will provide the energy force needed in this operation.

Our custom designed tippers give you the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of load heights, widths and weights. Hot Dipped Galvanized Coatings

Step 1
The infeed conveyor feeds the palletized coil into
the down-ender. Powered conveyors within the
down-ender align the pallet with the sonic sensor
which begins the automated sequence.
Step 2
The coil slowly slides down and comes to rest on
the V-cradle, a small notch in the V-cradle allows the
pallet to be secured in place.

Step 3
Once the down-ender has reached the layback
position and has triggered a proximity switch, the
conveyor on the V-cradle advances the coil
forward to the discharge table.
Step 4
A sonic sensor detects that the coil is securely on
the discharge table and clear of the up-ender.
The machine is then powered back to the home
position. The coil is removed from the discharge
table by forklift.
