A paper handling system is an important factor in making the printshop more effective and saving the printers from fatigue injuries. The ALBO SYSTEM® is the only complete system designed for printshops with a variety of products that will speed up and simplify paper handling.

- The Pile Turner is equipped to function as an aerator/jogger. A strong flow of air is passed between 100% of the sheets.
- During the aeration, the air flow forms an air cushion between the sheets which are carefully separated from each other. Since the entire surface of each sheet is ventilated, single sheets can be extracted from the pile. The air entering the pile makes the sheets "weightless". Albo's unique tilt design allows sheets to be jogged squarely against the alignment bar.
- Pile Turners equipped with the aerating system (PT1000AP and PT1 500AP) can also be equipped with an optional vibration system. The air table will then be fitted with vibration generators in order to ease the alignment of heavier sheets, i.e., cardboards. The intensity of the vibration can be adjusted from the control panel to suit individual demands. Reclines, turns 90 degrees and tilts towards the alignment bar. Ideal system of paper alignment using a shallow "V" principle.

The Pile Turner models PT500AP and PT1000AP provide aerating through two air nozzles that travel below the paper pile, where model PT1 500AP provides air through four air nozzles. The papers are aligned against the alignment bar as the air nozzles pass beneath them. When the nozzles reach the end of the pile, they will alter direction automatically. The aerating will automatically be terminated when the total number of laps (selected by the operator) is completed. An air slot is created between the sheets. The time required to aerate a full size pallet is 2-5 minutes depending on the paper quality. The main design objectives for these machines are high performance and high quality. The machines are constructed to be universal and the compact design will fit into any print shop. Customized versions of these machines offering different size turntables, etc., are available.
