Pallet Stacker / Dispenser
- Eliminates the lifting & handling of pallets.
- Allows the operator to remove a pallet from the stacker by pallet jack.
- An empty pallet is always waiting at floor level without any manual lifting.
- It requires a minimum of floor space and is easy to operate making it ideal in combination with other equipment such as pallet inverters.
- It automatically lowers the pallet, placing it at floor level thus permitting removal by a hand pallet truck or fork lift.
With a simple adjustment, the Pallet Stacker / Dispenser can handle pallets ranging from 32" to 48" squares. The Pallet Stacker / Dispenser utilizes a series of switches to control the logical process of stacking & un-stacking. The Pallet Stacker / Dispenser is built very robust with it's heavy-duty construction. This simple but quite functional, pneumatically operated pallet lifting system provides consistent, reliable performance. These features are well suited for the harsh treatment within distribution, warehousing and production operations.
Filling Pallet Dispenser:
Operator will place a stack of up to 14 pallets in the unit at floor level. The stack of pallets is automatically lifted, then lowering only the bottom pallet for removal by a hand pallet truck or a forklift.
Lifting Pallets:
When stacking pallets the un-wanted pallet is placed in the open area below the other pallets. This will signal the unit that a pallet is present, and stack it automatically.
Dispensing a Pallet:
When ever a pallet has been removed, the unit will automatically lower a replacement pallet, placing it at floor level for removal by a hand pallet truck or a forklift. During this dispensing sequence all other pallets, within the stack remain raised in position ready for smooth, jam-free dispensing.
Stacking Pallets:
When a pallet is placed in the open area beneath the stack of raised pallets, a photo switch will tell the stacker it is ready for placement on the bottom of the stack automatically.
Warning on Potential Hazards of Handling Pallets
Wooden Pallets weigh between 40 and 70 pounds and may be lifted several times during a work shift. This repeated lifting can cause stress to the lower back. Manually lifting loads in this weight range places great stress on the employee's muscles. Back injuries, such as muscle strain and disc injury, can occur when repeatedly lifting heavy objects. This also adds stress to the employees' shoulders and arms. Employees when handling pallets should be able to lift these items without bending at the waist, or pulling the elbows away from body while reaching, or twisting. Splinters from handling the wood pallets are also a hazard to the worker.
