Plastic Collapsible Containers

Collapsible 4048 Containers A standard for the grocery industry. 4048 collapsibles are used in dozens of food applications involving meats, cheese, processed apples, potatoes,cherries, and flavorings. The Ace Hardware Retail Support Center in Princeton, Illinois, uses 4048 collapsibles to ship hardware to Ace retailers and to other Ace distribution centers with no additional packaging. The use of containers speeds freight loading, unloading, and segregation while reducing product damage. Containers replaced pallets and loose-loading systems. The increase in product protection at no increase in labor costs was an important factor in the decision to convert to collapsible containers.

The popular 40 x 48-inch pallet size is used throughout the grocery and hardware distribution industries. In the United States and Canada, this container is used between chainstores and their distribution centers. Available in four sidewall height options, this container folds to one-third its height. Accessories
Covers for collapsible containers are molded of heavy-duty high-density polyethylene foam, with structural support ribs and four corner stacking. Container footprints, and all stack for space-saving storage and return shipment. Each has two recessed I.D. plate areas. Covers are also available for 64.5-inch Extended Length containers.
Durable, smooth slip sheets are available to fit every standard container footprint. They separate your product layers and close the container's open-grid pallet base. Made of black high-density polyethylene, these sheets have a gloss finish on one side and matte on the other. They're .60" thick, and are cut accurately to within 1/16".
Vinyl identification plates are available in ten background colors and one or two copy colors from the color pallete. Labels measure 3 by 6 inches, and are .030" thick. All are adhesive-backed (and have two mounting holes for optional fasteners).
Containers have two standard 4-1/4 by 6-3/4 inch black HDPE label holders. Additional clear plastic label holders are available in sizes from 4 by 6 3/4 to 8 1/2 by 11 inches. All are made of rugged PETG.

Achieve greater material handling efficiency, convenience and cost savings with our 40"x 48" containers. The 40 x 48ns are made of tough, durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for long-life performance under the harshest conditions and provide excellent product protection. The 45 x 48 is used extensively by the automotive industry, as it meets the specifications of the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). It is available with 4-way forklift entry in seven heights with weight capacities up to 2,000 pounds. All models offer a choice of 0, 1 or 2 hinged drop doors on the 48" side. Reach through latches are now available as an option for the 33" and 34" high models (48" sides only). Our Fixed Wall containers were developed to meet the specific needs of our customers for shorter, sturdier containers with non-collapsible sidewalls and one-piece molded base construction. Got a product or part that’s too long for typical containers? Then the Extended Length container is for you. It was designed for lengthy, hard to fit parts common in the automotive industry, although, many industries now use Extended Length containers to protect and transport their products. For added strength and rigidity all Extended Length containers have a one-piece base with four molded-in aluminum bars and hold up to 2,000 pounds. Just like the 64.5", the 70" Extended Length container can fit almost any part or component and replaces other forms of transport packaging such as metal racking that often gets dented and is much more expensive. Removable Hinge Rod Option

In many cases, the situation requires an access to the interior of the container that is greater than the size of the drop door. To resolve this situation, a special removable Stainless Hinge Rod allows the operator to completely remove the sidewall. When the container is loaded or unloaded, the rod is reinserted into position. Rods are available for 3230 (32" side), 4048 (48" side), and 4548 (48" side) containers.
